PSAT 8/9 (Grade 9, mandatory), PSAT (Grade 10, mandatory), and PSAT/NMSQT  (Grade 11, optional)

This preliminary version of the SAT is given to Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors annually in October. These results are powerful tools to measure college readiness and career planning and are used as a resource in the student course planning process. Qualifying for the National Merit Scholarship Program can lead to scholarships and academic recognition for high-scoring juniors. All grade 9 and 10 students are provided the opportunity to participate in the PSAT at no charge to the student.
