THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT - EARLY COLLEGE EXPERIENCE PROGRAM (ECE)
The Early College Experience program (ECE) is offered by UConn. This program, which is offered in high schools around the state, allows students to earn both high school credit and college credit.
- Students may take the Early College Experience program courses if they meet all the prerequisites of the department and the university.
- Students must register by UConn's fall registration deadline (typically early October). Registration is facilitated through the classroom, School Counseling Office and UConn ECE Office.
- Courses are taught by staff members who are also adjunct professors for UConn.
- Upon successful completion of a UConn/ECE course, students may request a transcript from UConn.
-
UConn credits can be transferred to many other colleges and universities. Visit www.ece.uconn.edu for more information.
-
Students/families who enroll in an UConn ECE course for credit are responsible for all program fees unless they have dropped the UConn ECE course for credit by the fall deadline (typically early October). Financial assistance is available to those who qualify
All fees for courses dropped after the UConn add/drop period deadline are non-refundable.
The following chart indicates each of the courses* that qualify for the UConn ECE program:
